[mod] How to clock the rungler from external clock? #3

[mod] How to clock the rungler from external clock? looking at the schematics one should cut the P2 going to 4021 clock input and connect it to the switch of a jack with the the main jack input going to the clock input. Is there a need for a protection circuit on the input like a diode?
