Looking for status #4

I'm looking for ImapNotes2 with rich text editor. It seems you did the job, but what is the status ? Is it work in progress or does it work ? Is there an APK available somewhere ? Thx!

I haven’t done anything on it in ages so I would hesitate to call it work in progress.

I think it works to some extent.

I was really just using as a vehicle for learning about Android development. I didn’t write the original but my fork is heavily refactored to reduce redundancy and make the code clearer.

I’ll see if I can fire up Android Studio and compile it. You can of course do it yourself if you have Android Studio installed.

But I can’t do it just now because I am on holiday in the middle of a road trip.

Remind me in a few days if you are still interested.

Hope you had nice holidays just before corona :-)

Thanks a lot you had a look at this project. I'm still using it syncing notes with an german e-mail provider (posteo). Now they reject connections because on "unsure ssl protocols". Could you update the ssl thing when you recompile it? Would be great!

Hei Dominik, I’m not sure I know how to do anything about SSL. In fact I don’t remember much about this project, it’s a very long time since I used it or worked on it. Anyway, I’ll take a look and see what I can do.

As for COVID-19, yes I had a great holiday just before it all got really bad. And I managed to get out of the UK and back home to Norway about this time last year only a few weeks before Norway closed its borders to non-essential travel!

If you don’t see any fixes happen on GitHub in the next week or so give me a reminder,

Would be great to get this fixed! I'm also using the app to sync my posteo.de notes and it stopped working.
