GX with GuiMods - Genset defective Manual STOP after Venus GX 3.10 OS Update

Hello,

The symptom is : From the generator Venus GX panel, If I manually start the genset, I not able to power it off in the same way!

No way to get the generator relay switching off but going in settings and setting up it as manual make it open...

Switching from OS version 3.10 back to 3.01 it works again!

Here my setup :

Venus OS Large installed and Node-Red activated but not in use for now.

I can not duplicate the issue here. I've tried on my Raspberry PI 4 test system and my Cerbo GX in my trailer. I have tried all combinations of Ext TS (v2.32) and GuiMods (v8.10) and in all cases stopping the generator from the manual start tile in the generator overview results in the relay opening.

If you are running any Signal-K or NodeRed extensions, please disable them and test again. I have tried turning on both but don't have anything active.

You might also try reinstalling v3.10 from the online updates menu, not just switching back and forth between stored firmware versions. That's a long shot but without additional information I'm shooting in the dark.

When you see this problem, does the menu indicate the generator is stopped in the STATUS and MANUAL START tiles of the generator overview? Note that if you have any active auto start conditions, manual start will NOT stop the generator. To stop the generator in this case, you need to disable auto start functionality.

I will need more information such as log files to be of additional help. Log files can be placed on a USB memory stick using the Backup settings function inside PackageManager. From there, you a post the resulting logs.zip file here.

Another potential issue IF GuiMods is installed is that the generator digital input can also cause the GX device to switch to a manual running state if it detects the generator is running, and stop if it detects the generator is stopped. This occurs if Link to external state is turned on in the generator start-stop settings. If the polarity of this input is not correct, this will cause the manual start condition (and therefore the relay) to switch back and forth between running and stopped.

Hello Kevin, I'm still away from my RV place. I've ordered an other Cerbo and display as Test/Sandbox. OK, I start by stopping Node-Red and then a fresh OS 3.10 reinstall...

As soon as possible... I must not be back before week 47 !
