Can't find the right Save data #626

I am having an issue finding my save data, more specifically, I am trying to help my boyfriend with his game progress. His old island got corrupted.

I imported his new island onto my modded switch, so I can extract his save data to edit, but I can't find it. When I dump the save data onto the JKSV folder it only shows an older save file of my island, but I transferred my island to my new switch.

What I could be doing wrong: 1) when transferring my partners island, I also had him put his account on my switch so I can load the resident save data onto his account, but when I load atmosphere to dump his save data, his account doesn't show up on the atmosphere switch menu.

Should I remove and then re add his island and merge his residence save data to my account, so I may edit the save data?

2) Am I possibly putting the saved data in the wrong place, because I moved the save data to the switch device storage.

What could I do to fix this? Please and thank you!

Please refer to the readme. NHSE does not handle extraction of savedata, and if your data is corrupted then it's unlikely NHSE will be able to read it.

I know, I used the JKSV tool, I have a modded switch, I got that part. My issue is, that when I extract the save data from the device, it pulls an old save that isn't even supposed to be there, because I moved my Island to a new switch. How do I extract the save data from an island that's from a different switch to use on the NHSE?

Extract the data from the switch the save file is currently accessible from.

This isn't a question related to NHSE. If you are having issues using homebrew to accomplish your desires, you should instead be asking in those communities, not a downstream tool.
