The banner at the top of the https://designsystem.digital.gov/ telling people that their site is secure. Create a widget which detects the protocol and displays content notifying the user whether or not the site is using SSL.
Possible methods:
the widget should use a drop down to display text if the site is HTTP or HTTPS. This would mean the users would have to make two widgets, 1 for HTTP and another for HTTPS
The widget should have text areas for both HTTP and HTTPS and would display the appropriate text depending on the protocol used. If text area is empty, do not display the widget, and provide a checkbox to toggle the area.
filter all the widgets and add a dropdown to display based on protocol. This is the most robust and would allow users to use 3rd party plugins as needed.
