How about using signaling like on ships when turning the ship? I just found the german wikipedia page: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schallsignal_(Schifffahrt)#Man%C3%B6versignale

Ships: 1 short: right, 2 short: left; long: attention.

long could be used as "direction OK". The signal could be repeated after 1 Minute or when you are turning even further away from your direction.
