Doesn't work on airpods #186

i found it to be working using normal headphone but not on airpods, is it same for all wireless devices? or is it just for airpods? could you help with it, please? MILLION THANKS !!!!!

Other Bluetooth devices work, but I don't have AirPods to try myself.

According to Google, Apple doesn't provide a public API for AirPods, so I guess that means they aren't normal audio devices. Unless someone has figured out how to reverse engineer Apple's private API, we probably can't support them. All you can really do is submit a bug to Apple about it: https://developer.apple.com/bug-reporting/

I only need the control over the volume of right and left soundtracks, so sad it won't work 😢

I've just installed this app and tried them with my AirPods. All working fine here. Running MacOS Mojave 10.14.2

At what point are you having issues? E.g. Have you successfully connected your AirPod's to your Mac? What does it say in your Mac Bluetooth settings?

May have spoken a little too soon. After turning my AirPods off and then trying to use them again the app doesn't seem to affect the audio.

Workaround: Check that Background Music > Preferences > Output device is Airpods. Keep the music playing and AirPods on - Quit the app (Background Music) from the menu and restart it. After that it started working again.

my problem is that i cant regulate the right and left soundtracks, or the volume when it is on airpods. My plan is that me and my friend can listen to different songs we like when doing stuffs and it is most convenient on airpods but i cant regulate different soundtracks volume

problem solved! Thank you so much !! I tried open the app after playing the song on AirPods and it worked !! You are amazing ! Thanks!!!!!!!! 😘

The problem for me is that I cannot control the master volume on AirPods using either the shortcut keys on the keyboard or the main slider. What I was hoping to achieve with this app is lower the volume of incoming Messages and keep everything else in line with the master volume. However with this app I cannot adjust the volume of the system except when I adjust each app manually, I cannot use keyboard shortcuts or the main volume slider at all.
