Outputting to audio unit causes distortion #211

I'm attempting to output from BGM to my Scarlet 2i4 audio unit and the audio is being distorted. In Audio MIDI Setup, they're both tuned to 44.1khz. However, BGM is (outputting? set to? unsure what's implied in this scenario) 32bit floats when the audio unit is looking for 24bit integers. They both have no option to change format types, while the outputs that are not distorted do.

I'm attempting to output from BGM to my [apollo|twin] through thunderbolt, and the audio is being distorted too.

Same here when outputting to RME Fireface UC.
