Discord, ZOOM #267

HEllo I have a little problem. the application background-music doesn't work for discord and zoom (when a microphone is in "live" it doesn't work. otherwise with safari chrome, WhatsApp it works perfectly. Thank u Best regards Neo

You mean when someone else is talking you're not able to control the volume of that audio with Background Music?

Same. The application works to control volume of programs such as Spotify, but if somebody is speaking in "Zoom", then specifically lowering Zoom's volume via background music has no effect.

Super cool project though.

Is there a discord fix yet? I think i opened an issue about it about 8 months ago.

@dannymichel https://github.com/kyleneideck/BackgroundMusic/issues/268#issuecomment-605835123 seems to be a fix for discord. Does that solve your issue?

it does not. it used to be a workaround, but doesn't anymore

In case it help someone else, I'm running: Discord 0.0.256 Background Music 0.3.2 macOS 10.15.4

Weirdly enough, just reinstalling Background Music after installing and uninstalling "Sound Control" fixed it for me with regards to Zoom.

Update - Just found out you need to set the Speaker to Background Music in the Audio settings.

In case it help someone else, I'm running: Discord 0.0.256 Background Music 0.3.2 macOS 10.15.4 discord helper no longer works.

Don't have Discord Helper in More Apps. I'm running: Discord 0.0.272 Background Music 0.3.2 macOS 10.15.7
