Music Players pausing persists through uninstall #718

Description of the bug

I have installed (brew) and uninstalled (uninstall.sh) this software but audio players (spotify e.g.) still pause when my microphone is activated in another application. I was unable to find any remnants.

Steps to reproduce My steps were a bit convoluted, but to be conclusive:

  1. brew install --cask background-music
  2. brew uninstall --cask background-music
  3. git clone git@github.com:kyleneideck/BackgroundMusic.git
  4. cd BackgroundMusic
  5. bash uninstall.sh
  6. restart

Versions

Update: only firefox's microphone access causes the problem. Other browsers and recording software do not pause spotify.
