Example bug report template

Don't worry if you have trouble getting some of this info. Just leave it out.

Description of the bug

Please don't just say it's "not working".

Installed Background Music today, restarted my machine, but not working like it should. Audio playing from Finder is distorted when played through my RME Babyface audio interface, while an app like Ableton Live doesn't output sound at all. When I choose my Babyface interface again in the output section of Live 12, audio plays again, but volume is not controllable with Background Music. If I route the audio through the Background Music app in Live 12, there is not sound at ll.

Steps to reproduce

Steps to reproduce the bug. This usually doesn't need to be super detailed.

  1. Go to '...'
  2. Click on '...'
  3. See error message '...'

See above. This is just a case of installing the app, and audio either being distorted, or there is no sound at all.

Debug logs

If you think the developers might not be able to reproduce the bug on their computers, e.g. because an important feature is completely broken and they would have noticed, it can help to include debug logs. This takes a little effort, so feel free to leave it out at first.

Tips (Delete this section before posting.)

Probably because Background Music only supports 2-channel devices. I'd really like to add support for other devices at some point, but I doubt that'll happen any time soon unless someone else decides to work on it.
