What do the black borders on proimg and target do? #1

Hello, I don't really understand what the black borders on proimg and target images do, and how could I size and create them. Could you please provide more details? any help would be appreciated.

The black border is for optical flow estimation, GMA doesn't support the case that one image with black border and the other without black border.
