Next version of APIRule will introduce functionality changes and API changes. Conversion from v1beta1 to newer version will not cover all cases. Having in mind need to introduce this changes with little disturbance possible it was decided to release APIRule v2 version. Versioning will give better understanding of significance of changes and it will smooth out migration process.
Introducing new version of APIRule as v2 and taking into consideration kubernetes version priority, will allow rolling out changes without immediate actions from users.
