It seems to sometimes cause the Robot Army robots to not attack Nests...... after turning off Arachnids I have not noticed that behavior.
What was specifically happening was that a Squad would path to a nest and fight off all the Biters around it. But then just stop and not kill the nests and slowly be whittled down by the Biters that spawned from the nests, or even the worms.
I have been using the Arachnid mod (https://mods.factorio.com/mod/Arachnids) as a texture replacer.
