EDIT: Okay, I figured out what I was doing wrong and now I feel kind of stupid but maybe it's worth adding something to the README. Basically, just explain what goes in the <version> part in more detail because it is currently very much glossed over, probably because anyone with an IQ of greater than 10 can figure it out eventually but since the Fabric Wiki points here it might be worth explaining for the morons, like I apparently am.
