Ok, I had same problem but I found a quick fix before it will be ok.
1. Go to userSettings folder
2. Open Config with Wordpad (PsPad or other .txt editor)
3. Delete "X:\\Path\\World of Warcraft Public
Test\\Data\\wow-update-base-14791.MPQ;X:\\Path\\World of Warcraft Public
Test\\Data\\enUS\\wow-update-enUS-14791.MPQ;".
4. Save Config
5. Enjoy Model Viewer
In new Patch isn't something important - like new tier sets, NPC models. If
you're looking for updated items for your character check

Didn't seem to work for me. The MPQ Editor keeps crashing upon extract. After
a bit, I decided to keep following the steps afterward to no avail.
