I'm not aware of any limitation.
I can see one onion v3 server among the peers of my server and also in the list in the electrum client at the moment.
Yup, this is the one. Looks like it works ok. Maybe I just was unlucky to never catch it or did not wait long enough for an electrum wallet instance running in order to fetch all known servers. Closing this as there is nothing wrong with e-x or electrum.
@gits7r I see you're still active and I can connect to you from Electrum, which is great! I'm joining you :-)

I run a V3 .onion server, the address is set to be advertised in electrumx config, but I never see it anywhere unless I set it manually as server because I know about it.
Tor switched to v3 onion addresses which provide stronger security (ed25519 whole public key, base32 encoded) as opposite to the legacy (v2) ones that were sha1(RSA1024).
Is there any limitation in the peer to peer advertising subsystem that prevent such large addresses to go through? Or is something in Electrum wallet itself that will not show such large .onion addresses in the network dialog gui?
