Web Server and Text File #239

Hi, my "Index of current directory" is opening but dont showing the option "text file".

SarahCrocker commented 4 years ago

So, I had started a DITA topic previously and I added a line where I just typed a bunch of random stuff. When I went to go open that same file in OXYGEN XML Editor, the program offered me a text file option, because it didn't like the "&". I denied that and had it open regurally. But you can always right-click a file and open it as a text file in Notepad.

I wrote an xslt that turns things into .txt files, I think. So good luck. I hope you find your answer.

Thanks, Sarah Crocker

Hi Sarah, first I want to say that I love your name, I have a character called Sara in a Medieval book approved in Paris :) I’m a girl, don’t worry... About my doubts, I was confused because my question was wrong, I already had a notepad with the copy code from amp page suggests, what I was couldn’t was insert the right folder at the web server, I reading and looking for all day and solve just now looking at this page: https://www.google.fr/amp/s/amp.dev/documentation/guides-and-tutorials/start/add_advanced/setting_up/

I thank you so much for your care and kindness with another’s, like you :) all from the best to you 💗

I'm so glad you found a solution that worked and I appreciate your kindness. The important thing is that you didn't give up and you kept trying until you found a solution. There are so many programming solutions on tons of excellent websites to increase your skills and develop your projects. It's how I've pretty much figured out everything I ever needed to know, when I needed to learn something new for a project.

Problem solving skills, research, and testing your own code can be a lot of fun. All it really is, is a puzzle and I'm incredibly impressed by the community of programmers in the world who share their solutions and help teach others and explore different options available.

The internet has come a long way in my lifetime and the Information Technology field and many other fields have advanced in so many beautiful and artistic ways. We are all building and evolving a newer and better system together and it's absolutely amazing how far things have developed.

Just don't ever give up, no matter how complex the coding issue you encounter. Even if you can't find a solution from someone else, if you explore it enough, ideas of new things to try will develop as you think it through and test out your new code.

Also, the search engines have advanced significantly, as well as community involvement and answers. It's been an impressive journey thus far watching everything develop.

Thanks, Sarah Crocker
