Install a Script manuall (workaround) #24

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

To install a script, find the .js file that got downloaded instead of installed
by Greasekit, right click
on it and open it with Safari (or just drop it on Safari's icon)

that again it worked i went to install
another script it didnt work i tried removing the script i had told you about
in the last post and re-add it to see
and that didnt work is this a greasekit problem or a SIMBL thing? i had to
reboot the computer to install anything
;( is there like a location on the hd where greasekit places the scripts i
install?

I did a quick search on my machine (you could have done this too :] ) for one
of the scripts I installed. Looks like
they live in ~/Library/Application Support/GreaseKit/

And they are named "scriptname.user.js" ie: videoembed.user.js

Don't know about the restart thing... install technique is 2 for 2 on my machine

I don't know.. You should probably start by looking at the actual script
itself with a text editor, and see what
you can find -- also I don't think that asking for specific script support
here is a good idea... it's not germane to
the topic. BTW I am not a programmer.

Good luck

Awesome, that worked perfectly! I had found the folder, but I didn't know it
needed ".user"

Thanks!
