Language is one of the undisputed parts of our everyday behaviors and it is involuntary to use languages and follow certain rules that have been provided. However, language can convey a lot of information. Prior (2017) mentioned that gendered language is a perpetuation of the historical patriarchal hierarchy that has existed between males and females, where man is considered the norm, and the woman is marked as other. In this case, language can reflect a preconceived consciousness about social structure, and could even convey discrimination, which in return affecting the development of people's consciousness. Considering the special impacts, reflections on language have been developing, one of which is gender-inclusive language. It means speaking and writing in a way that does not discriminate against a particular gender and does not perpetuate gender stereotypes.
