Test on unusual maps #1

Download perhaps some huge and/or weird maps, constructed or buggy, to see if it works as expected. Anyone got any such maps?

Fenixin commented 13 years ago

I can test mian in huge maps. I have a 40k chunks world, a don't-know-how-many-chunks 600MiB world and a 1.1GiB world. Can't redistribute the maps, they aren't mine. Do you want to see the output of some particular options?

l0b0 commented 13 years ago

It would be awesome, especially if I could use them in the wiki to show that mian works with such maps. Do you know which versions of Minecraft they were created with?

Fenixin commented 13 years ago

I asked to the owner of the world if we can use to test and post, waiting for an answer (I should have asked before post about the big worlds, sorry). I can offer my 29k chunk world, it's pre-beta, so no new blocks. If you are interested I will upload it anywhere. Are you interested?

l0b0 commented 13 years ago

Yep, I'm interested. Dunno where you could upload it though. Do you have a Dropbox account, for example?

Fenixin commented 13 years ago

Yes. I'll upload it to my dropbox account and I'll write you a private.

Fenixin commented 13 years ago

Did you get my map?

l0b0 commented 13 years ago

Yep, thanks. I haven't yet had time to test it, but I'm planning to do it with the alpha and beta formats as soon as the parsing is done

l0b0 commented 13 years ago

OK, tested it. With one eye on the System Monitor, it took less than 70 MB at all times, and took <32s to generate the graph. Alright!
