Overlay not updating while playing maps #178

Closed XYDIU closed 1 year ago

XYDIU commented 1 year ago

When playing any map, the overlay is not updating the letter score, nor any missed notes, or 100s/50s. It only displays "SS" the entire time, and shows it as if you did not miss anything. The PP also always displays 0, regardless. It will update when selecting a map, showing the potential PP, but otherwise it doesn't work while in a map.

I have tried reinstalling it multiple times, opening it before OSU, after opening OSU, running as admin, and messing with settings but all to no avail.

Worked fine before, not sure why it's suddenly not working.

I have the same issue and its annoying

I had this issue a couple of weeks ago, got it fixed by switching from cutting edge the stable release as shown in here: https://github.com/l3lackShark/gosumemory/issues/176

This fixed the issue for me and the person who made the thread above, but a couple of days ago, it stopped working on stable as well. You can try to switch around releases to see if that fixes it for you, but this seems to be a little more complex than that. Hopefully this can be fixed soon, my overlay is very bland now

The linked fix in this thread fixed the issue for me (I'm the OP.) It was working for me as of last night, but I'll test it later today. Just wanted to echo that the fix worked for me, so anyone with the same issue could try that, and I just wanted to confirm.

I am still having this issue even whilst being on the stable version of osu! is there any other possible ways to fix this?
