PuttyPortable Compatibility #32

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Configure plug to read sessions from filesystem
2. point putty executable either to putty.exe or to PuttyPortable.exe
3. try to make session suggestion in launchy

What is the expected output?
The list of sessions defined in PuttyPortable folders

What do you see instead?
.Putty.cmdline

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Launchy 2.1.2
Putty-Launchy-Plugin 2.2
PortablePutty 0.60 rev 3

Please provide any additional information below.

Actually i'm not sure the plugin is already declared as PuttyPortable
compatible, but it would be nice if it would be so.

thanks

paolo

PuttyPortable stores sessions on disk instead of in the registry. There is
support
for this, but it is disabled by default:
You need to check the 'Filesystem' checkbox under the 'Sessions' tab of the
plugin
options. This will scan the filesystem of your USB drive for sessions. You
may also
need to complete the "Path to PuTTY".
After you change options, be sure to update Launchy's catalog by right clicking
and
clicking "Rebuild Catalog".
