eventlog-to-syslog install win server 2008 r2 x64 Note #54

Download   Evtsys_4.4.3_64-Bit.zip

1.  copy evtsys.exe c:\windows\SysWOW64\

2.  copy evtsys.dll c:\windows\SysWOW64\

3.  cmd ( for administrator )

4. cd c:\windows\SysWOW64

5. evtsys.exe -i -h 192.168.1.41 -p 514

You will find some errors

「Eventlog to Syslog Services」Location is C:\Windows\System32\evtsys.exe 
this is not correct position

you need go to 「regedit」=> 
「[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\EvtSys」=>「ImagePath
」=>「%SystemRoot%\SysWOW64\evtsys.exe」。

PS. 「 Modify the service to start position 」

You are correct, this is an outstanding issue. Question though is there any 
reason you are installing in SysWOW64? That should only be for 32-bit 
executables, evtsys has a 64-bit version which I would recommend you use.
