Progress bar fails for failed/aborted shots

The progress bar indicates ‘Error in progress bar plugin’ upon the following conditions:

• Abort during transition to buffered or mid-shot.
• Device restart during transition to buffered or mid shot.

And possibly upon:

• Timeout during transition to buffered.
• Other error_condition handled in experiment_queue.py.

These all stem from a failed assert running in the stop callback of the progress bar's mainloop.
