runmanager is a graphical user interface (GUI) used to aid the compilation of labscript experiment scripts into hardware instructions to be executed on the hardware. Experiment parameters can be adjusted in the GUI, and lists of parameters can be used to create sequences of experiments, and scan over complex parameter spaces.

Creating a new globals group, it should automaticaly mark it as active and open a tab for it #10
When creating a new group, it should automatically open it (but not switch to the tab) and mark it as active. Most of the time, when you create a new group it is because you want to use it immediately and this saves two extra clicks.
I don't think it should switch to the opened tab though because you may want to create more than 1 group before populating them with globals
