Central california and bay area also got hit pretty hard more than 140,000 PG&E customers in the dark this afternoon those customers are namely in and around bay area alamany county alone, has about 30,000 outrages at this hour.
we do have team coverage for you this morning abc10's monica colman ~sending~ standing by in woodland where the wind caused a lot of damage
but first we have Jordan Torba who's tracking condition on the road Rob Colmark has the forecast to start ~this~ us off So Rob a lot of people, a lot of coaches, soccer coaches, baseball, softball, can they get practicing today?
This is a tough call this is one that i get all the time can we do it or not. let me just tell you the nature of where we are at the moment.
when you back this up 24 hours this was a very strong potent storm with 2 areas of low pressure wobbling around each other which resulted in some major wind as you saw power outrages on those outer bands very intense thunderstorm with heavy rain hail and lightening as well.

so as you move through the overnight hours a lot of that has come down but this is where we are this morning
gentle, light but widespread rain keeping everything wet and damp through the morning but by the afternoon it stops and we're gonna get some peaks of sunshine
so everything's gonna be wet and damp for a while
so here's a big question.
how much of water can percolate down
getting these fields ready
it's gonna be a field-by-field situation but i will tell you this, at least rain-wise it will not be raining later on this afternoon.
but we're not totally done yet as we like to clearing where we're going we have another day as the system still kicks around what we're gonna see afternoon showers and thunderstorms come back for tomorrow afternoon.
so again, a wet morning, a cloudy afternoon, but hopefully a dry later afternoon early evening. to get at least some portions of life back on
the other thing we have to talk about is snow we did see some decent overnight snow and it is snowing right now but it is starting to slow down so where we're going is in general is coming down less rain, it will stop. less snow, it will stop. and then for the wind, just a few hours of gusty condition, but nothing compared to yesterday.
we're gonna get some peaks of sunshine
how much of water can percolate down, getting these fields ready
damp soccer field? it's gonna be a field-by-field situation.

that was not the situation in many locations throughout northern california including what we are going to talk to Monica Colman right now so Monica, tell us where you are, what you've seen I am seeing a lot of damage behind you
yeah, Rob. I am on woodland on East street and the damage from the wind is really just incredible. take a look behind me. you can see that there's caution tape, telling people not to take Eash St. this morning.
but we do have some good news to report. you take a look at the food mart in gas station they are open for business today.
If you take East Oak, you can get to the gas stations but you can't get here through East St. because like I said it is so close this morning take a look you can see PG&E crews are here, working around the clock there are here overnight we have one crew coming right now as we speak trying to get the power back on for hundreds of people who are left in the dark due to those powerful winds and around town. the damage left by storm is evident.
At another gas station, the canopy twisted in the wind power ~pull~ poles snapped in half
overnight crews worked along East st., trying to restore power after trees were down along at least half of dozen power ~pulls~ poles.
around the clock: continuously, without stopping or taking a break 24/7
back on: restore something on
power pole: 전봇대
some residence say, the winds were so loud they never heard the crack of power poles going down less than a block away.
there are still a couple of hundreds of residence in woodland without power this morning it's the kind of winter that some californian say, they have never seen before.
there was just like a roaring train of wind that was blow so hard and the it was hit my trailer so hard, pretty loud.
i thought that we're having another little storm coming through, but nothing like this i've ever seen. it was pretty powerful.
The yolo county sheriff office says that no injuries were reported despite all the damage Woodlan ?? out live you can see another crew coming out to get the power back on ~this is really been to seen all morning.~ this is really been the scene all morning.
crews coming in waves, and waves trying to help people who are in need and need electricity as we are seeing very cold temperature no rain currently falling but roadways are still slick
So you do need to use the East st. this morning you need to find alternative route to get to work or final destination
but speaking of the road, we do wanna go ahead and toss it to my collage Jordan who's keeping track of all the road condition as the storm is still here and we've got more to come.
Jordan, what you got?
Lots of people just heading out ~doorwall~ door will see some light rain as they commute to work this morning. as you can see this traffic is moving nice there but we all see some slick conditions this is highway 99 ?? this morning around sacramento area, on the topic of wind Monica was saying in place like yoolo causeway yuolo bypass upon i5 and woodland those are places that we gonna see extra windy condition just because how they are situated here in our area.
westbound ~58~ 50 at hazel ave. that were seen one crash this morning here in winter court blvd area, not seen any major delays right now this just happened in the last couple of minutes or so
??angle seeing some slow moving traffic as well and wind advisory in place of the ?? So for bay area commuter just pay attention stay away those high profile vehicles give the semi truck some extra room this morning as you head out
Jordan ??, thank you. People living close to the san waki river bank still facing flood dangers there.
and near neighbor of one mobile home park is on evacuation orders abc10 curt riveras spoke one residence who now trying to craft the plan
as water surrounds home thanks to the overflowing san hoaquin river silvia martines is heading out
i going to leave, i was on vacation came back, and this is where i came back to so i gotta go
