i have these friends that i have known since we're in university. we joined the same band, which was we all four first met. that four of us, we're hanging out pretty much every single day. we're all still friends by the way even after all these years.

but looking back, i feel like, at least at the start of my friendship with those guys, i feel like i may have connected with one of them slightly faster than the others because that particular friend spoke English fluently. much more fluently than I did at that time.

he had also spent a number of years overseas just like i had i probably felt that we had more in common somehow

what really impressed me though as i got to know him better was his social skills. he never seemed to have any trouble making friends, joining other groups, taking on roles that required a lot of responsibility, like, class president

ok, to be fair, i am sure that there has been a lot of effort on his part he sure make it seem effortless. and most importantly, he seemed to enjoy it.

anyway, everybody loved him wherever he went. and i am sure that they still do

now i really can't say the same for myself. i am quite opposite in that regard.

i have terrible interpersonal skills. in fact, i am starting to believe that i have a neck for making people uncomfortable.
