The Harvard team would like a custom splash page while the application loads. While the application is hosted at shinyapps.io I do not think this is possible. The shinyapps guide does not highlight how one might change the standard splash page. If the application was hosted with shiny server then we could use {waiter} and setup a custom splash page.
