I'm having a heck of a time just finding basic guides. Is there a guide on how to use it to capture an anime series? And other tasks, in general?

AtariBaby commented 10 years ago

By the way, I donated. Not much but least I could do.

I don't think any detailed guides exist at the moment. It took me a decent amount of question asking, experimentation, and hacking on the code/creating new plug-ins to get XDM to a state where it worked well for me. If I get some free time this weekend I wouldn't mind writing up a summary.

What operating system are you trying to get things running on?

AtariBaby commented 10 years ago

Hi. I'm on Ubuntu. It's seemingly installed, though I'm not even sure if I installed everything I need for anime, my primary purpose at this time.

carze commented 10 years ago

Well to get started with anime you'll want to add this plugin-repo to your XDM and install the Anime Media type and Uranime provider:

https://github.com/groenlid/xdm-anime-plugin-repo

The author of these two plugins is in the middle of upgrading the Uranime provider so currently pulling in anime may be hit or miss. I took a copy of the trakt.tv TV provider and added a little bit of code to handle pulling down anime from trakt.tv and have a bit more luck with it.

Thanks. If nothing else, it's good to have someone to talk to about it. :) I'll give it a go this weekend.

i'll try to setup a forum this weekend where "users can exchange there knowledge" ^^

adarkenigma commented 10 years ago

Yes please do i have it installed and running but i cant figure out how to use it. please provide temporally alternative user guide on some other site where knowledge is easily exchangeable. might generate more user and more support.

Same here! I am trying to get flexget properly working by end of day today. Maybe this will all make more sense to me then.
