Definitely feel free to fork it, it's all for academic purposes. In terms of the API key, the school payed this company: http://www.laundryview.com/lvs.php to embed some sort of laundry machine status reader into the machines, years before I came to Wake Forest. I am not sure if they still operate since I don't see any other schools on their website, but it's worth a shot reaching out to them. I don't think it's a free service either. If you have any questions about the iOS code though, definitely let me know. I wrote it pretty quickly, so don't be surprised if it's not perfect or I made glaring errors.
