As mentioned in #37, the intention here is to create easy-to-read cookbook samples and not to produce highly protected production ready code.
Where type of coding you suggest would be highly useful would be as some kind of inclusion or addendum to a 'Things you can do by editing the code'
Can you see us building a set of suggestions? Including things such as:
- Variables as part of a name space
- Allowing for clicking and sliding on mobile devices
- Polyfills for Android and iOS issues
- Setting scripts up to be more iseful as prototypes
