Expressions of hope #5

I'm not sure how best to describe this, but what I wish for in an interactive viz like this, is the ability to discover what's hot and happening "out there". For example, the home page of gitter.im has more or less live messages from around the world. I wonder if we could show positive tweets and expressions of hope and gratitude for the courage of health workers around the world. Or what do you think?

@loleg

I hear you and am working on it.

I will be using this guy's code base

https://vasturiano.github.io/three-globe/example/country-polygons/

https://vasturiano.github.io/globe.gl/example/choropleth-countries/

and adding timeline data to show number of new cases in a given period

My previous response was not really replying to your message. Sorry

The hopeful news is that the latest version of the viewer may be a beginning:

Zoom out then rotate. Trying to read the messages is a little guessing game.

The text is huge and leaves much white space. This is so you are not totally distracted while looking at the data.

If you can help source messages of hope and get them into 512x512 bitmaps then I can add them the files that are displayed. We could have random messages displayed with each load.

The text of your issue has been added to the Readme. Your request is "of the essence"
