About Lakhan

I am a Software Engineer with a love for solving problems 😍. I believe programming languages are the syntax that can help you communicate with digital systems (computer machine/web/mobile). Languages can come and go, but the thing that will remain is your ability to solve problems. At the same time, it is very important to keep yourself updated with new tools/technologies because that will give more power to solve the problems more efficiently. I have a Masters degree in Information and Technology from Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Technology. But this doesn't change the fact, that I enjoy learning new tools and technologies and keep improving myself. I try to learn and share my learning through this website.

I am best known for tooling, building websites, mobile apps, and handling the deployments. I focus on delivering good quality products at a good pace. At the same time, I follow the idiomatic practices for the development and do not compromise on developer experience.

What I'm Doing now?

I am currently working as an independent contractor for Appbase.io and The Contentment Foundation. In the free time I write, contribute to opensource project and collaborate with my friend Yash Shah and Nikhil Varma on interesting projects. Also I have recorded a video course for building an Airbnb clone using React and ElasticSearch.

• Dejavu an open-source tool to easily view/access and perform various operations on Elasticsearch data.
• Arc a reverse proxy to Elasticsearch which gives search relevancy, analytics, and security out of the box.
• Appbase.io dashboard which allows user to provision Elasticsearch cluster, deploy Arc and manage various tasks with respect to search. Here I have also developed backend APIs which will allow user to provision clusters and perform various operations securely.
• Appbase.io Heroku Deployment Allows you to deploy Appbase.io services in one click on Heroku
• Docker deployment for Appbase.io Allows you to deploy Appbase.io services on docker container
• Kubernetes deployment for Appbase.ip Allows you to deploy Appbase.io services with Kubernetes orchestration
• ReactiveSearch: UI components library for Elasticsearch: Available for React, Vue and React Native
• Importer GUI for importing data from different sources into Elasticsearch
• ABC CLI for importing data from different sources into Elasticsearch
• babel-plugin-reduce-with-operator: Babel plugin to reduce an array with just passing operator without writing any callback. This is just an experiment plugin developed while I was learning AST
• react-minimal-ts-boilerplate: A typescript boilerplate for react which does not come with any extra dependencies and allows you to fully customize your react project. There is also a Javascript version of this library available.
• express-ts-boilerplate: A typescript boilerplate for kick starting expressjs server
• The Contentment Foundation web platform: A platform that helps in transforming the wellbeing of your entire school.
• The Contentment Foundation mobile application: A mobile application that helps in transforming the wellbeing of your family. This application is available on ios and android
