Feature-rich wifi hotspot creator for Linux which provides both GUI and command-line interface. It is also able to create a hotspot using the same wifi card which is connected to an AP already ( Similar to Windows 10).
Describe the bug
Trying to create a wifi on my machine (Intel NUC) on Xubuntu 23.04 I get an error "Some inputes are not valid!". I tried this with and without password. On terminal, create_ap works.
Expected behavior
After inputing the right information, I expect the wifi to start.
Desktop (please complete the following information):
Xubuntu
23.04
Additional context (workaround)
I've managed to do configure everything manually by editing /etc/create_ap.conf and then entering the relevant infromation:
change the GATEWAY value to your gateway IP (192.168.1.1 in my case).
delete the -g in the NEW_MACADDR field
update the WIFI_IFACE and INTERNET_IFACE to their respective names (you can get those with iwconfig)
upate the SSID and PATHPHRASE as you would like.
Additional additional context
At some point my interface was blocked by rfkill. I didn't run it manually, so I suspect that it was the result of the wihotspot
Even though I followed the manual install instraction from the readme.md, iw was not installed on my machine. iwconfig was installed.
I'm running all of this on a remote machine that does not have a screen attached to it, so everything is either vnc (using x11vnc as a server) and ssh.
