Custom metadata resets upon playback in iTunes #9

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Add a track in iTunes
2. Customize its metadata
3. Play the track -- the metadata resets back to its original values

I have not been able to reproduce the issue yet but have heard from two
people with the problem. Will continue to investigate but currently this does
not seem critical.

Same problem here. I just extract files from the disc with Max and when I add
it in iTunes via Fluke it reset its metadata. This is very annoying for me
because i'm trying to get a clean music library. I hope there will be a fix
soon. :-)

Ok solved the problem with a utility: Easy Tag. So there's "no official binary
package of EasyTAG for Mac OS X" but this guy developed one and it works. So
you have to download the little program here
http://marcoschuh.de/wp/?page_id=411 change the metadata before you import the
track to iTunes and that is all :):):) it worked for me, easy and fast! (Only
Mac with this solution, but if you look it up, you'll find the Easy Tag for
windows)
