MAC OSX 10.5.8 error : dyld: unknown required load command 0x80000022 Trace/BPT trap #81

Hello,

- What steps will reproduce the problem?
I have recently installed the latest git-osx-installers on my following MacBook
directory: /usr/local/git . I followed the github tutorial to setup Git and
it seems to work well when I SSH to GitHub via the following command line:
      ssh -T git@github.com

However, when I tried to set my username using the following command line :

git config --global user.name "Firstname Lastname"

I received an error message.

- What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I'm expected to see no error message but I received the following error message:

dyld: unknown required load command 0x80000022
    Trace/BPT trap

- What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I've tried all the following installer versions but all of them generate the
same error message.
1) Git Installer 1.7.9.4 - OS X - Snow Leopard - Intel Universal
2) Git Installer 1.7.9.3 - OS X - Snow Leopard - Intel Universal
3) Git Installer 1.7.9.1 - OS X - Snow Leopard - Intel Universal Featured

I haven't tried the older versions of git-osx installers.

Could you please help me resolve this issue ? Thank you very much.

Same thing happens to me.

Looks like the most recent versions only work on Snow Leopard.

Try

6-leopard.dmg&can=2 or

Yes, the builds only work for Snow Leopard onward. Sorry.
