Phone goes to sleep when watching video #465

Device: OnePlus Open

Issue: When watching a video the phone will go to sleep after the normal timeout like nothing was playing

I noticed it happening few times but it seems to be an android bug. As I've got the same issue happen on another video app.

Ah ok. It's a OnePlus so it wouldn't be surprising if it's a bug. I was googling, does your app use the wakelock? I guess that should make the screen stay on. I'm not a dev. I really appreciate the app.

Yeah I do use wake lock. Glad the app is useful to you :)

Does it happen all the time? For me it happens once in a while on a pixel phone.

I didn't have the issue on my pixel 6a, but have the issue every time on my OnePlus Open. Is there anyway I can record logs for you?

Haven't noticed it for a while so it must just be a occasional bug.

I've noticed that it starts happening after a long pause (10 min to half an hour) or change of focus (eg: a video call for half an hour).

When it starts happening, the app needs to be restarted and works fine.

I also have a Pixel 6a (running Graphene OS), and it happens all the time . Just like @ViktorKahu mentioned, if it starts happening, a hard restart of the app gets rid of the issue!
