App is blank when opened #532

Describe the bug When I open the app, it's blank except for the words "Could not Fetch the videos, tap to try again"

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open Clipious
  2. View the homepage

Expected behavior Videos should load on the homepage and searching for them shouldn't lead to the same error.

I also have the same issue. Disabling VPN has no effect.

Cant search for videos either. Same blank screen error as above.

Are you using a public server , if yes please share ? If not public, did anything changed on your set up ? This is an issue talking to an invidious server, there were no recent changes on that part of the application

Good question. When I go into "manage servers" it gives me the option to add my own, and to use a public one. I'm not a developer, so I wouldn't even know what to input to add my own! (Also why my response is not the same day as your question.) And under public servers, it has an error saying, "Could not fetch a list of public servers. Tap to retry." Retrying produces the same error. For what it's worth, I am able to load and watch videos from NewPipe on the same device.

I had this same issue, I just had to add a public server to the list. This could be included in some kind of onboarding, but seems like an improvement rather than a bug as the app does function once you add an endpoint for the invidious API.

Same thing here - Android 5.1 LibreTube app (another one) plays fine though.
