@arueckauer I might need some help with resolving conflicts on this one...

@weierophinney Conflicts are resolved. Tests and phpcs are green. However Psalm throws errors and most of them I am not sure how to solve. Therefore I did not yet merged into 3.0.x. How would you like to proceed?

@weierophinney You probably have it on your radar, but just to make sure: 3.0.0 is not ready to be released yet. I am not sure, if it would be released automatically after merging this PR.

@arueckauer We have to manually close the milestone to release, so no worries. :)
