@arueckauer I created the 2.12.x branch, as I'm not sure what the status of 3.0.x is, and this allows us to bump the minimum supported PHP version in a new minor if desired.

Mainly pointing it out, as this is the patch that adds Renovate, so if we skip 2.12.0, we'll need top merge this up to 3.0.x as well.
