setting up a git mirror

Dear re2 developers,

There is interest in being able to add re2 as a git submodule, but this 
requires there to be an up-to-date git mirror. Unfortunately all of the results 
for https://github.com/search?q=re2+mirror stopped being maintained a while 
ago. Just wanted to make you aware of the interest in case you wanted to set up 
an official mirror. If not, will set up an unofficial one on GitHub and post 
the url here for anyone else interested.

Possible you'll get more quality community contributions by having a GitHub 
mirror too, fwiw.

I'd rather have just one point of truth. My experience with community 
contributions on GitHub has not been one of "quality" either. If you want to 
set up a mirror, you are of course welcome to do so, but I'd rather not bless a 
specific one, and I do not intend to pull changes back.
