In page 8 of User Guide, note section:

Each word of the name of the directory has to begin with a alpha-numeric (i.e. non-symbol) or underscore character, so exam -pe today is not a valid name for the directory becase -pe is starting with -.

Additionally, the application has prompted the user that -pe is an unrecognized parameter
