A note form a tester at ARM:
I see that when I try to use the compass for the first time after a reboot, the device asks me to draw a circle by tilting it around, presumably for calibration.
If I draw the circle consecutively, the compass behaves reasonably; but if I draw the circle in multiple segments, by tilting the board back and forth, then it still accepts this as calibration, but the compass then produces nonsensical measurements.
Is this known at the moment? Can we check for this pathological behaviour?
