Erin Greer (erin.greer@berkeley.edu) is a PhD candidate at the University of California at Berkeley. She is currently completing her dissertation, Making Conversation: Fictions and Philosophies of Intimacy, which integrates philosophical and literary inquiries into language, intimacy, and community to develop a theory of conversation’s mediation of everyday intimate and political life. Her fields of research and teaching include the history and theory of the novel, critical theory, new media, and gender and sexuality studies.
