currently almost all historical information such as:

when do course registrations happen (and when do courses fill up)
how many seats does each course have?
when do teachers and availability for a course change? are completely lost because the database only stores the current state. It would be good to use an event store instead so that we can travel through time and see what happened in the past

probably not necessary considering the data is 6mb compressed with gzip, just need a place to store them long term
