I think when using the raw data without any meta-analytic models, citing MetaLab should be enough (because people might just look at stats of which method to use, or use a different way to compute meta-analytic estimates), but for everything else (i.e. visualizations, etc), metafor should be cited alongside MetaLab.
Would you like me to add that to the shiny apps? Most R packages have a BibTeX file associated with them so we can easily display the R packages that were used as well as Metalab and the data set.
