Can't get private key from backup? #86

I tried the decryption process with openssl and everything, but in the end in the hex editor i only got useless data.

The backup is from 2015, do I need to use an apk of the old version of the wallet to regain access to my wallet?

RyanCheddar commented 3 years ago

huh, i tried an old version and it says cannot read protobuf or base58

looks like my wallet backup is corrupt :(

odd that it corrupted though consider it has been in my google drive the entire time

@RyanCheddar I was able to use https://github.com/langerhans/dogecoin-wallet-new/issues/68#issuecomment-769800820 to get the private key of a backup from 2014

@RyanCheddar It seems that myself and several other people I've encountered have had this same problem. Did you ever end up finding a solution?
