Have you upgraded to v0.1.2? On Mar 17, 2014 5:28 PM, "swissdoge" notifications@github.com wrote:
Hi, my multidoge client hang during synchro. Got 8 payment address in one wallet file. 1 address is used by my miner on p2pool and receive a lot of transaction.
If I import the priv key in a newly created wallet file, the synchro hang too. It seems the client can't handle such amount of transaction.
I haven't found any related issue on the web.

First thing I'd try is Tools > Reset Blockchain and Transactions. But first be sure to have your private keys backed up just in case.

Receiving lots of transactions into the wallet is really problematic and will bring the wallet to a complete halt after a while. This is a known problem with all light wallets. You won't find much info on it because Bitcoin users rarely have such a large amount of transactions. You should use the exported private keys to import them into a Qt wallet. I'll be working on that issue to see if I can make it handle more transactions.
@kaloudis We should put a warning about that on the webiste soon. It will be a problem for other people too.
@kaloudis the issue is here with 0.1.0, 0.1.1 and 0.1.2. I have finally synced it. I had to sync like 5% and close multidoge and 5% more and close. etc etc.
The wallet froze randomly after 60% or 80% for example then the only way is to kill it which corrupt the whole wallet, reverting to backup at next open and sometime totally messed it and the wallet wouldn't run anymore ( java process but no gui and insane cpu usage ). Multidoge folder backup after each shutdown and priv exported to be safe during this "test"
Reset blockchain and transaction would have no effect since starting from scratch = same issue.
@langerhans is their any log / debug output or anything I can provide you to track the issue ?
And what is the "large amount" of transaction ? my numbers can be low or high, really don't know for example : I exported the transaction from faulty wallet to csv and got 654 lines fully synced. Sync problem seems to appear around 500.
Oh and I tried under Linux and Windows but since it's Java I think it doesn't matter.
No need for the log, thanks :) I now pretty exactly what the problem is. The thing is, that it's not easy to solve and therefore we need to add a disclaimer to the page that it currently doesn't scale well enough to handle continued mining into it. It was more thought for people who can't really download the whole blockchain... :dog2:
same here im stuck at Synchronising with network, i like to try this software if working
Hi there! I'm running on MacOS Sierra 10.12.6 and MultiDoge 0.1.7 and for couple days I have tried to have my dogecoins synced to MultiDoge without success. The sync process always hangs at some point and then I need to force quite the app and start over with the reset blockchain and transactions. The transaction is confirmed in Dogechain. How to solve this and have my coins available? Thanks!
Hey Man, the multidoge app seems pretty shitty. Had the same issue. Here's an easy and quick way to solve it:
I registered just to tell you that (check it). How about you buy me a beer, fair enough?: DShcCFQ1NqT4FiAYouFtDbmfoFVBEuvhx7 Cheers Vale
Hey!
Thanks for the reply and tip! As my Multidoge show's 0 balance it has not synced even once. Can I still just export the wallet's private key and have it synced at the online doge wallet?
Shooting you a beer once get hand of my coins lol

Hey guys,
So I'm quite new to crypto. I got myself some doge coin and downloaded the multi doge wallet from the dogecoin website. Initially it stated by balance at the top left hand corner but it also stated that 0 doge were spendable. Im having similar problems as per the thread above.
It then tried to sync. It paused at about 59% so I reset the blockchain and transaction. It has paused a few times at different percentages now. I left it over night still but no luck.
I am using a MacBook. I have tried to locate the exported private key in the application support folder to try the tip above but I cannot view any of the multi doge folders or files within the directory. I have tried showing hidden files but they are still not there.
I am confused and cannot access my doge. Can someone please advise on how to find the private key and locate the multi doge folder and contents so I can export it to the online wallet to get started?
Thanks
Hi! Click to Macintosh HD, Press CMD + Shift + . to reveal/hide hidden folders. The Library folder will appear under your own user structure in Mac and under Multidoge you'll find the files in Application Support. Then you can open the Key file with text editor (after exporting it without password). Then just follow the guide above and paste the key in my.dogechain.info.
@1salomon3 Thank you so much for your comment, I could successfully recover masses of dogecoins from the totally broken multidoge app to this online wallet (and then move it to Jaxx to have it locally)! And I just tipped you 300 coins :)

Hey Man, the multidoge app seems pretty shitty. Had the same issue. Here's an easy and quick way to solve it:
- Export Private Key from your multidoge wallet - without password
- Create a wallet on https://my.dogechain.info
- Import your Private Key in this wallet (there's a button for that, than just copy-paste the key from the opened key-file)
- Refresh the new wallet with the refresh button below your balance. Done. Spend your coins.

@namtabio
You have no idea how much you just helped me. Been stressing, but luckily I found this. You are a legend
@1salomon3 Thanks for the tip. There are really very few references I found helping taking the coins out of Multidoge. Coins sent for the evening Beer :-).
Hi,
I'm brand new to crypto and was wondering if anyone can help.
I bought some Dogecoins yesterday and they are showing on my balance in my Multidoge wallet but spendable amount is zero.
Status says "seen by 19 peers. Pending / unconfirmed. I've tried to follow your instructions and have done the following.... .
I'm using a MAC.
I'm at a loss on what to do next
Thanks
Why don't you remove the MultiDoge wallet from the site already? It is so shitty and I have seen many users including myself having that same syncing problem in Reddit. I am yet to try the solution to export my keys to another wallet and uninstall this thing and never use it/recommend it again.
@Panqueque1 You right. MultiDoge is more than shit. Even you try to close that it will be hanging and you don't have any choice except to restart your computer at the end of the day.
