\biberror{no year} should not raised if pubstate is set, because a record with a pubstate can not have a publication year.

Example:

    pubstate = {forthcoming},
    subtitle = {The northern {European} phonological area},
    title = {Phonological drift and language contact},
    year = {\biberror{no year}}
